Datuk Mohamad Helmy Othman Basha, a Malaysian, was appointed Group Managing Director of Sime Darby Plantation Berhad in July 2019. He is a Yayasan Sime Darby Non-Independent Governing Council Member.
He attended Nottingham Trent University, and later the Emile Woolf College of Accountancy, where he obtained his Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) qualification in 1990. He was admitted as a member of the ACCA in 1996, and later became a Fellow of the ACCA in 2001. He attended Advanced Management Programme at Harvard Business School in 2019.
