Caroline Christine Russell, a Malaysian, was appointed to the Governing Council of Yayasan Sime Darby on 16 October 2008.
She was born in Kuala Lumpur but received her secondary and tertiary education in Scotland. She attended the University of Edinburgh, where she obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree.
Her business education includes an executive development programme at Darden Business School at the University of Virginia.
