1) Eligibility Requirements
a) Malaysian.
b) Employee must receive an approval from their respective Head of Department at the Sime Darby Company.
c) A full-time employee at a Sime Darby company or its subsidiaries in Malaysia only. This privilege will not be extended to employees in associated corporations (‘Associate Companies’ means companies in which Sime Darby’s shareholding is less than 50%).
d) At least 2 years of service within a Sime Darby company.
e) A minimum CGPA of 3.30 and above and/or its equivalent in his/her most recent academic qualification.

2) Accepted Fields of Study
Fields of study that are related to the Sime Darby companies’ businesses, subject to approval from the respective Human Resource Department of the Sime Darby Companies.

3) Accepted Universities
YSD welcomes candidates who are currently studying; and those who have obtained firm or conditional offer from; any recognised Malaysian higher learning institutions that are approved by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA).

4) Value of Scholarship
The scholarship will cover full tuition and academic fees, thesis allowance (for postgraduate studies) and book allowance.

5) Service Bond Period
2 years at a Sime Darby company upon completion of studies.
